Are you an experienced assessor, verifier, or educator with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for raising standards? This could be the role for you.
New Meaning Training (NMT) is seeking a Learning and Development Coordinator, with a particular focus on Internal Quality Assurance (IQA), to join our central team. In this role, you’ll make a real difference by supporting the quality and consistency of assessment and delivery across our programmes.
Perhaps you’re already working as an Internal Verifier, Quality Lead, or delivering education or training and are looking for a new challenge where your expertise directly supports colleagues and impacts learner success. Or maybe you’ve gained IQA experience as part of a wider teaching or assessment role and want to step into a position with a significant focus on quality assurance. Either way, you’ll bring a collaborative approach, strong communication skills, and a drive to support best practice across multiple centres.
This is a peripatetic role that requires frequent travel between all seven NMT sites, working closely with delivery teams in different locations to monitor practice, provide guidance, and support continuous improvement. As such, the ability and willingness to travel regularly between sites is an essential requirement of the role.
This is a unique opportunity to join an organisation that tailors its programmes to learners with diverse needs, and to help us maintain the highest standards as we continue to grow.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and carry out internal quality assurance activities across multiple qualification areas.
- Sample learner work, check assessor decisions and ensure compliance with NOCN requirements.
- Produce clear written reports highlighting strengths and areas for development.
- Provide constructive feedback to tutors and submit formal reports to Area Managers for review and signoff.
- Ensure actions are completed within agreed timescales and follow up where required.
- Drive consistency through standardisation of assessment decisions across all centres.
- Communicate effectively with tutors, managers and other stakeholders.
- Travel to NMT centres as required, with flexibility for home working.
About NMT
New Meaning Training (NMT) offers education with a difference. We are an alternative education provider dedicated to helping young people aged 15-25 discover their strengths and develop the confidence and skills to earn their own living.
Every year we have around 300 young people from across Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Berkshire, Warwickshire and the West Midlands learning with us. Many learners are referred by secondary schools, pupil referral units and Special Educational Needs (SEN) settings.
Since opening our first centre in High Wycombe in 2015 we have grown to seven centres across five counties. Each centre offers a range of vocational pathways designed to meet the needs, interests and progression goals of learners. All programmes incorporate Functional Skills qualifications in Maths and English as a core part of the curriculum, ensuring that learners develop essential literacy and numeracy skills alongside their vocational learning.
In addition, learners participate in regular tutorials that support personal development, wellbeing, and the development of employability skills, helping them build confidence and prepare for their next steps in education, training, or employment.
NMT programmes are tailored to the individual needs of each learner, considering Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) as well as Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Our practice is guided by a Loving Care Approach and PACE principles (trauma-informed practice), enabling us to support each young person in a way that promotes safety, trust and positive development.
