Role and Responsibilities: · Provide management cover in any of our services for periods of time · Apply your knowledge of best practice, codes of practice and current regulations in the social care sector and ensure the provision of a high quality and socially inclusive service · Manage support plans and contribute to support reviews alongside Service Managers · Work with Service Managers on service referrals and staff interviewing & selection procedures · Assist in monitoring the service’s progress against an agreed business plan including evaluating work and implementing changes to improve results · Develop, implement and monitor action plans for any team-led changes or external recommendations from the Care Inspectorate, Quality Assurance or Business Assurance; · Contribute, in consultation with the Service Manager and the with YOU Finance team, each year’s budget and ensure the financial targets are met; · Develop constructive relationships with national and local statutory, voluntary and community agencies to ensure appropriate resources, support and understanding of the service; · Deputise for the Service Manager, assuming the responsibilities in their absence. Essential Skills and Attributes: Experience working in a social care Experience in leading and managing staff teams over multiple sites Experience in delivering change and improvement work across whole services Experience in supporting individuals with a range of complex needs Experience working in a Trauma-informed Practice setting Experience managing services that operate over 24/7 Experience in managing Community based services Qualifications/Training: HNC & SVQ 3 in social care, nursing, community work or related field SVQ 4 in social care or related field SVQ in Management & Leadership Additional notes: PVG scheme membership and SSSC registration are requirements of this post.
