A private family office is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Handyman to support the ongoing maintenance of a large private estate in Beaconsfield, with occasional work required at six additional managed properties in and around London. Working as part of a small, established estate team (including a gardener, cleaners, and driver), the successful candidate will report directly to the Estate Manager and play a key role in ensuring the estate is maintained to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks
- Painting, plastering, decorating, and high-quality finishing works
- General DIY tasks (e.g., fitting shelves, hanging pictures)
- Installing household appliances and repairing lighting
- Ordering and maintaining maintenance supplies
- Maintaining building exteriors (fences, walls, hedging, gutter cleaning)
- Operating basic farming/land machinery (e.g., ATV/Tractor)
- Assisting with grounds maintenance and occasional livestock handling
- Maintaining Health & Safety logs and undertaking basic H&S responsibilities
- Liaising with family members and external contractors to agree scope and timelines for works
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant hands-on experience
