We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly, supportive and fun team in beautiful Royal Tunbridge Wells. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a busy, well-equipped practice with a varied caseload and strong local connections.
About the Team
You’ll be joining a welcoming and sociable team made up of:
- 2 Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs)
- 3 Student Veterinary Nurses (SVNs)
- Practice Manager
We pride ourselves on being a fun, friendly and supportive team, working together to provide excellent patient and client care.
The Practice & Caseload
We are a busy small animal practice, primarily treating cats and dogs, offering a varied and engaging caseload. While we currently rely on visiting specialists, including orthopaedics, cardiology, diagnostic imaging and ophthalmology, we are keen to develop our in-house clinical expertise further. Our facilities include:
- Laparoscopy equipment
- Orthopaedic kit
- Ethicon harmonic cautery
We are particularly interested in welcoming a GP vet who may be working towards or already hold a certificate, as we look to expand our clinical offering and develop more advanced cases in-house.
The Practice
The practice is due to be rebranded in July, marking an exciting new chapter. We are currently rebuilding consistency and caseload following reliance on locum cover, and are looking forward to becoming a consistently busy, thriving practice again with the addition of permanent vets.
Location
Based in Royal Tunbridge Wells, on the Kent and Sussex borders, the practice benefits from a fantastic location:
- Located on a retail park with M&S, Asda, Dunelm, Homesense, TK Maxx, Next, New Look, Dreams, Halfords and more nearby
- Surrounded by countryside and nature reserves within walking distance
- Excellent transport links: London (40 minutes by train) and Brighton (1 hour by car)
- Free parking available
Lifestyle & Local Area
Tunbridge Wells is rich in history and scenery, including:
- The historic Pantiles
- Famous High Rocks sandstone formations
- Ashdown Forest (Winnie the Pooh country)
- Nearby attractions such as Leeds Castle, Hever Castle, Scotney Castle, Sissinghurst Castle Gardens and Chartwell
Work-Life Balance & Benefits
Competitive salary up to £75,000 pro rata dependant on experience. Full and Part Time hours available. One in two Saturdays (9am–5pm) with a weekday off in lieu.
