This is an exciting opportunity to join our Companies House Digital and Technology Directorate. We are looking for a Senior Agile Delivery Manager to help scrum teams develop and deliver quality digital services for our millions of users. You’ll have the opportunity to be at the forefront of digital transformation in government and help shape our services to meet the ever-changing demands of the UK’s business landscape.

We can consider both full-time and part-time hours for this opportunity. For part-time, must be a minimum of 30 hours per week over 4 or 5 days. Please note - Companies House cannot offer Visa sponsorship to candidates through this campaign. Additionally, Security Clearance is an essential requirement (minimum residency criteria is in the UK for at least 3 of the last 5 years).
A Senior Agile Delivery Manager is accountable for the effective delivery of complex, high risk products and services. The role is similar to a Delivery Manager role, but Senior Delivery Managers have more experience across a range of products and services, throughout the entire product life cycle, and have greater responsibility and accountability as the main point of escalation.
At this role level, you will:
- Be a delivery professional with experience in supporting multi-disciplinary digital and/or data teams to deliver using Agile.
- Have strong communication skills and engage senior stakeholders to guide them through the product life cycle.
- Coach and mentor delivery managers to achieve both personal and strategic aims.
- Have a strategic overview of team delivery capabilities and deliverables.
We’re looking for someone who can do the hands-on delivery of products and services, end to end, from initiation to live and have experience of iterating and improving services post live. You should have:
- Extensive and demonstrable experience of leading high performing software delivery teams as an Agile Delivery Manager, Scrum Master or equivalent role.
- A strong advocate for delivering minimum valuable products frequently and regularly.
- Committed to working openly and collaboratively.
- An experienced leader and line manager who is skilled in supporting and growing their team members in Agile environment.
- Able to experiment using inspect and adapt methods.
- A clear and effective communicator.
- A recognised professional accreditation/qualification such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM)/ Profession Scrum Master (PSM I).
