Responsibilities

  • Managing a caseload, leading on investigating our most complex enforcement cases, often involving multiple people or companies โ€“ working in an organised way, thinking constructively, and judging each case on its merits.
  • Practically applying legislation, associated codes of practice and our guidance and policies – determining points to prove when pursuing an investigation.
  • Interpreting, applying and making informed decisions about evidence and intelligence, to take appropriate action.
  • Best practise methods are used for recording investigations.
  • A focus on continuous improvement – so that our enforcement activities meet high standards.
  • High quality, effective and efficient delivery of our vision, objectives and organisational plans in line with our enforcement priorities.
  • Providing advice, guidance and an escalation route for Operational Case Managers.
  • Communicating and collaborating with a wide variety of colleagues โ€“ across government and acting as a reference point and advice for Companies House colleagues who identify suspicious activity.

Security and eligibility

To be eligible for this role you must meet the security requirements for Security Clearance (SC) level vetting. To gain SC level vetting you will need to have been a UK resident for a minimum of 3 years out of the last 5 years. For more details, please refer to the Things you need to know section below.

Person specification

  • Lead on complex workstreams
  • Interpret intelligence and understand its significance, to make informed decisions
  • Interpret, follow and apply guidelines and policies
  • Be well organised โ€“ to manage a caseload delivering quality outputs in a timely manner whilst ensuring best practice record keeping and management
  • Focus on continuous improvement โ€“ to ensure a best-in-class service

Communication and collaboration

  • Written and spoken communication skills – to produce high quality personalised written correspondence
  • Networking and collaboration skills – with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Confidence to provide advice and guidance
