Overview
In this role you will provide strategic leadership for data quality and data asset management across Companies House, ensuring data is accurate, trusted and well-governed. You will define standards, lead enterprise data quality improvements, and establish governance with clear ownership. You’ll advise senior leaders on risk and maturity to support compliant and transparent operations. Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for data quality and data asset management
- Develop and implement the organisation's data quality strategy, standards and metadata
- Lead a multidisciplinary team to assess, monitor and improve priority datasets
- Collaborate with data owners and service teams to embed data quality in business processes
- Provide expert assurance to senior leaders on data quality risks and maturity
- Promote data as a strategic asset to enable reliable operations, compliance and transparency
Key requirements
- Significant experience in data quality, data governance and data management
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and influence senior stakeholders
- Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences
- Understanding of how high-quality data supports operational delivery and decision-making
- Strategic thinker capable of navigating ambiguity and driving long-term improvement
- Degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
