About the job:

Join us as a Commercial Contract Management Lead at Companies House! It’s an exciting time to join our Contract Management Team, as we’re strengthening our team by introducing additional roles to manage contracts and supplier relationships. Our Commercial Contract Management function provides commercial leadership and support to our supplier relationships and operational contract owners, ensuring our commercial relationships are supported, and contractual controls are managed effectively in line with both procurement legislation and central government policy.

Our Commercial team is split into three teams:

  • Commercial Delivery: manages the first stages of the commercial life cycle from end user requirements through to market tender and contracting with selected suppliers.
  • Contract Management: manages contract implementation, delivery, disputes, transition/exit, and everything else in between.
  • Commercial Governance and Assurance: manages all policies, assurance activities, and P2P.

Each team has a Head of Function reporting into the Head of Commercial. We are seeking commercial professionals with excellent enthusiasm, energy, proactivity, collaborative and adaptable skills. This is a proactive role, engaging with a range of suppliers and internal stakeholders. This role will contribute to delivering our commercial contract management strategy, providing a customer-focused support service, understanding business needs and stakeholder drivers, driving supplier performance, and ensuring full commercial control of our contracts.

You’ll support rolling out Government Contract Management standards and processes, ensuring contracts are managed proportionately according to value, complexity, and risk, and that supplier performance is appropriately measured and reported.

Why choose Companies House?

At Companies House, we take a proactive approach to wellbeing by promoting a welcoming culture, healthy work-life balance, and supporting colleagues to be their best at work because we know people are the key to our success. Our benefits include:

  • Flexible working with no core hours (between 6am and 8pm)
  • 30 days annual leave
  • 8 bank holidays & 1 privilege day
  • Enrolment into the Civil Service Pension scheme, with an average employer contribution of 28%
