18 hours per week, 7.30am - 9.30am Mon - Fri & 2.30pm - 4.30pm daily Mon - Thurs - Term Time only. Join our Transport team as an SEN Passenger Assistant and support children with special education needs (SEN) in our community to safely travel to and from Meadowfield School in Sittingbourne during term time. You’ll play a vital part in ensuring every child is supported and comfortable as they attend school, and give their parents the reassurance of their child’s safety on our bus.
Ideally, applicants should live in the Sittingbourne area or be able to meet our driver at a designated point in Sittingbourne at the beginning of the shift.
Responsibilities- Support children with SEN to travel to and from Meadowfield School safely during term time.
- Ensure each child is supported and comfortable on the journey.
- Experience of looking after children, be patient and calm and have excellent communication skills.
- DBS check (enhanced) required.
- Attendance of a Kent County Council approved Passenger Assistant training course (or already held KCC Passenger Assistant badge).
- Willingness to undergo Safer Recruitment and safeguarding procedures.
