Compact Security Services has great opportunities for confident and experienced SIA‑licensed security staff to join our team working festivals and events this summer. Roles will commence mid‑to‑late May 2026 and continue through September, working some of the largest festivals in the UK on an event‑by‑event basis. Rates range from £14.57 – £17.93 per hour, subject to experience and role, and the hourly rate shown is inclusive of accrued holiday pay. Free or subsidised transport is provided from Manchester to all locations.
Duties
- Professional presentation and proactive approach to customer service
- Searching visitors and bags on entry to the venue in line with site policies
- Gaining a clear understanding of the venue‑specific prohibited items
- Checking accreditation/tickets upon entry
- Monitoring ingress/egress and safety in line with assigned position
- Monitoring crowd movements and behaviour, identifying potential issues or incidents, and reporting to ensure necessary action is taken
- Understanding site‑specific emergency procedures, safety checks and company/site policies

Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High standard of personal presentation with a calm and professional approach
- Previous security/crowd management experience (preferred)
- A valid front‑line SIA licence is essential for this role
- Provide documentation at interview which demonstrates your eligibility to work within the UK and an unrestricted right to work in the UK for a minimum period of 12 months
- 5‑year checkable work history (including school, further education and unemployment); all offers are conditional on passing screening so if you are unable to provide this we will be unable to progress your application
- Flexible to travel and stay away from home – camping will be required
