Job Type: Permanent, Full time
Hours / Working Pattern: 40 hours per week, from 8:00am to 5:00pm, with a 30-minute lunch break. Flexibility is required to work additional hours when needed.
About Us:
Compact & Bale Ltd are an award-winning company that supplies 100s of machines and collects 1000s of tonnes of material for recycling and recovery each year. Our clients include leading retail, manufacturing, warehouse and distribution businesses together with local authorities, hospitals, shopping centres, garden centres and recyclers.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct installation, maintenance and repair of compactors, balers and related machinery at customer sites.
- Conduct repair and testing of compactors, balers and related machinery in the workshop.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults and implement effective solutions.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
- Collaborate with customers to provide technical guidance, operational training, and support.
- Maintain accurate service reports including parts used, repairs completed, and recommendations.
- Respond promptly to service calls and troubleshoot equipment failures in a timely manner.
- Work closely with the Technical Manager to innovate and improve service procedures and equipment reliability.
- Work with manufacturers technical departments to trouble shoot issues and find resolutions.
- Ensure parts stock on the van is recorded and that sufficient parts are kept minimise repeat visits.
- Maintain good communication with all parts of the business including the sales team to ensure the highest level of customer service.
- Ensure hand tools and equipment used is maintained and in good condition.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies at all times including customer on site requirements.
