Are you ready to take full ownership of engineering delivery in a fast-growing SaaS scale-up? Our client operates in the Telecoms, ISP, and MSP sectors, and they’re scaling fast. They’re searching for a high-impact Head of Engineering who can elevate performance, drive operational excellence, and build a truly world-class engineering function.
The Opportunity
This role sits at the intersection of technical credibility and engineering leadership—perfect for someone who thrives on structure, accountability, and building high-performing teams. You’ll report directly to the CTO and play a pivotal role in shaping how engineering operates as the company grows.
What You’ll Lead & Own
- Full ownership of engineering performance and delivery
- Building a high-performing, delivery-focused culture
- Setting clear expectations for ownership, accountability & engineering standards
- Coaching, mentoring, and developing engineering talent
- Leading roadmap delivery, including sprints, backlog, and workflows
- Monitoring performance metrics (velocity, cycle times, bottlenecks)
- Defining consistent processes across Agile delivery, code reviews, testing, release management & CI/CD
You’ll directly manage two development squads and one QA squad, driving delivery, quality and execution across the whole function.
Your Background
Even though this isn’t a hands-on coding role, you’ll bring strong technical credibility. You’ve built modern web applications before (Node.js, TypeScript, Vue.js or similar) and you’re confident engaging in architecture, AWS, Docker, and serverless conversations.
Cross-Functional Influence
You’ll work closely with the CTO on aligning engineering and technical strategy, partner with Product on roadmap execution, and collaborate with DevOps & Support to keep deployments smooth and platforms reliable.
