COMO Metropolitan London is a 144 bedroom property with 19 private residences situated in the Heart of Mayfair.
Role Overview: You will support the Events business for COMO Metropolitan London and COMO The Halkin, managing enquiries, planning, and delivery alongside a small team. The role focuses on maximising groups and events revenue, developing new business, and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. You’ll balance proactive sales activity with efficient coordination to ensure every meeting and event is organised to a high standard and runs smoothly across both hotels.
What you will do:
- Handle event enquiries, proposals, contracts, room blocks, and planning from start to finish
- Produce event documentation including Event Orders, group memos, and activity reports
- Maintain accurate client data and sales records in Delphi
- Proactively research and pursue new Events business while managing existing accounts
- Keep event collateral updated and support weekly Meetings & Events communications
- Liaise closely with all hotel departments to ensure smooth event delivery
- Meet and host clients as needed, acting as their key point of contact
- Assist with familiarisation visits, telesales campaigns, and cross-hotel referrals
- Ensure accurate billing and adherence to payment policies.
Who you are:
- Minimum of one year’s experience within a Hotel Events department within a luxury operation
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written English
- Excellent IT and organisational skills
- Demonstrate the ability to prioritise and self-manage tasks
- Passionate and committed, a team player, vibrant, energetic, highly motivated
- Ability to deal with all sectors of the events industry, including corporate, retail music, media, TV, film and fashion, sectors from junior to senior level
- Must, on occasion, be flexible in the work hours
