Due to an increase in clients and projects, we are looking for an experienced engineer to undertake work in a variety of sectors throughout Scotland, the North of England and Northern Ireland. We are an expanding business that retains strong family values at its core and has a great team. Company van, fuel card etc will be provided. The job will involve travel and night shifts (uplift applied). The ideal candidate will have an ECS/CSCS card, and a minimum SVQ Level 3. A driving license is essential, and an IPAF qualification would be preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Installation of various structured data cabling systems such as Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a and fibre.
  • Terminate and test cables to a high standard.
  • Tracing and fault‑finding of data cabling using Fluke DSX and Link Runner data testers.
  • Fibre cabling of both multimode and single‑mode fibre type cables – testing and terminating fibres using fibre‑splicing methods.
  • Voice cabling and termination and testing of multicore cables.
  • Installation of floor‑mounted and wall‑mounted communication cabinets, including flat‑pack type cabinets.
  • Installation of various containment systems (tray, basket tray, PVC trunking and conduit) and data‑cable matting.
  • Deployment of routers, APs and any other IT equipment as required.
  • Work safely at all times following all induction protocols and escalating any risks to the Project Manager.
  • Complete jobsheets and sign‑offs in a timely manner on the company app.
  • Complete tasks within the given timescales of each project.
