Commvault Enterprise Sales Engineer (SSE) is a pre‑sales support role primarily focused on providing Enterprise technical sales support to Commvault’s partners and sales team. The role supports partner‑focused sales teams deploying their skills to influence and drive through the sales cycle. The position requires a strong technical contributor who understands how their decisions impact and influence customer value while at times driving revenue for Commvault. The SSE is seen as a trusted advisor at all levels within an account (C‑Suite, technical stakeholders, etc.). It also serves as a team leader, mentor, teaches and contributes to the overall success of Commvault. The SSE drives or supports complex sales opportunities by translating business requirements into solution technical requirements; coordinating technical expertise; sizing, scoping, defining delivery and deployment approach, timeline, and required resources; coordinating demonstrations and proof‑of‑concept; and supporting internal deal acceptance.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with the regional Pre‑Sales team reporting to Regional Pre‑Sales Leader
- Present and demonstrate the Commvault software suite of products through the use of appropriate media – presentation, white board and demonstrations, etc.
- Work with internal departments (sales, support, marketing, channel), as appropriate, to ensure success during sales campaigns and/or to ensure the partner experience is positive
- Assist in achieving annual revenue goals in line with the Commvault’s regional business plan
- Attend meetings, training and maintain regular communication with the regional / global Pre‑Sales community and other technical and development functions
- Be an inspirational leader within the Pre‑Sales division and a go‑to resource
- Actively participate in all Sales and regional meetings, QBRs, adding value and technical leadership on all topics (field marketing, qualifying, etc.)
Who You Are
- Demonstrably experienced within Software / SaaS industry in a similar capacity. Ideally within Data Management / Security and Cyber Resiliency
- Wide range of technical knowledge of data management inclusive of applications, cloud, compliance, disaster recovery, tape infrastructure, storage arrays, storage networking, networking protocols, and general connectivity in multi‑platform enterprise environments
- A dynamic, fast‑paced individual who is motivated by success and takes the responsibility of owning issues to resolution. Understands the true meaning of "ownership" and "will do"
- Exceptional internal and client‑centric interpersonal skills in a commercial situation
- Shown success in taking care of Enterprise clients and working on high level deals
- Experience of working on sophisticated RFPs
- Competence with prioritising work and balancing workloads
- Fluent English verbal and written language skills
- Willingness to travel
