Salary: Equivalent to Agenda for Change Band 6:

Evora Hospice provides a range of high-quality Specialist Palliative Care Services to patients and their families across Armagh, Down and Tyrone.

We currently have a vacancy for a temporary part-time Specialist Occupational Therapist to work across our Inpatients Unit and Community Services.

As a key member of the hospice multi-disciplinary team, you will provide a high standard of occupational therapy service to patients in Evora Hospice with specialist palliative care needs, including those with a highly complex presentation - patients may be suffering from malignant and non-malignant conditions, e.g. MND, COPD.

You will also participate in the assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating of care of patients encompassing the Hospice’s philosophy of specialist palliative care.

Applicants must have a Diploma from the Royal College of Occupational Therapists, or a Degree in Occupational Therapy recognised by the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT), be Registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and hold membership of The Royal College of Occupational Therapists (or able to provide details of liability insurance from another body). You must have 3 years’ post graduate experience along with experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team and providing OT intervention to palliative care patients in either an acute and /or community setting.
