The Human Health Project (HHP) Director Clinic Operations provides administrative oversight and assistance to the General Operational Manager, in the development, organization, implementation and evaluation of Clinic/Program Operations in accordance with accepted practice and policies and procedures. This includes personnel oversight, providing ongoing Quality Improvement monitors, ensuring current standards are met and ensuring that the skills and educational needs of the staff are met. The Director is responsible for the quality of patient care. The Director ensures that safe patient care is provided by qualified, competent, patient care staff to all patients who present to the programs.
Duties:
- Provides administrative oversight to the daily operations of the programs
- Ensures standards of patient care through QA monitors
- Understands and works toward meeting current regulatory standards
- Anticipates program leads’ needs
- Addresses problems involving personnel, patients, families and the general public
- Defines the overall purpose of the programs in accordance with goals
- Plans with HHP Learning Academy department orientation and in-service training for staff members
- Plans and evaluates job descriptions annually
- Responsible for ongoing performance evaluation, guidance and development of personnel
- Ensures smooth daily operations and steady progress towards established program goals
- Plans and operates within the approved budget
- Responsible for cost effective programs
- Identifies problems and communicates solutions to appropriate personnel
- Keeps open communication with program staff
- Provides opportunities for growth and development of program staff
- Holds staff meetings to provide opportunity for participative planning
- Responsible for overseeing volunteers and support staffing at all programs
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Graduate of accredited School of Nursing
- Current licensure by the California or other State Board of Nursing
- Demonstrates flexibility and reliability
- Ability to prioritize and problem solve
- Ability to maintain sensitivity and objectivity to chronic medical and social problems
- Ability to relate well to patients, families and co-workers
- Completion of crisis prevention training
