Just Friends is a charity that supports people who live alone through friendship groups, social connection, wellbeing activities and community support across East Sussex. As the charity continues to grow, we are looking for a volunteer to help support fundraising, income generation and community partnerships. This role would suit somebody who enjoys ideas, community connection, relationship building or helping small charities grow sustainably.
Responsibilities
- Research grant opportunities
- Help with fundraising ideas and events
- Approach local businesses about sponsorship or partnerships
- Support donation campaigns and community fundraising
- Help improve fundraising communications and supporter engagement
- Identify opportunities for local support and collaboration
We are open to people with different levels of experience, including retired professionals, people wanting charity sector experience or those with fundraising, business or community backgrounds. We would especially welcome somebody who understands the importance of social connection and community support. Flexible volunteer opportunities are available; some remote support may also be possible.
