About Community Action
Community Action is the local infrastructure organisation for Eastbourne, Lewes and Wealden. We enable and support community groups, voluntary organisations and individuals across East Sussex to improve quality of life and equality of opportunity for everyone. We also represent and advocate for the voluntary and community sector, working closely with local government and statutory partners.
The Role
We are looking for a Community Action Administrator to provide essential administrative and operational support to our Data and Delivery Team, as well as colleagues working in Community Development. This role plays a key part in the smooth running of our services and will particularly support work connected to the Eastbourne Integrated Community Team. You will be at the heart of the organisation, helping ensure information is well managed, systems run smoothly, and colleagues and service users are supported effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Answering phone calls and managing shared email inboxes
- Updating, storing and retrieving digital and paper records in line with GDPR
- Publishing content on our website, including news, jobs and shared sector information
- Managing diaries, booking meetings and coordinating travel
- Preparing documents such as letters, reports and invoices, and taking meeting minutes
- Ordering office supplies and liaising with contractors and suppliers
- Providing day‑to‑day administrative support to colleagues across the organisation
About You
You will be organised, reliable and proactive, with excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills. You’ll be confident using Microsoft Office, comfortable managing information and working with a range of people including colleagues, partners and service users. We’re looking for someone who enjoys supporting others, can juggle competing priorities, and shares our commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
