Just Friends is a charity supporting people who live alone through friendship groups, social connection and community activities across East Sussex. We are looking for friendly Meet & Greet Volunteers to help welcome members at our local branches, social events and occasional outings. Many people attend for the first time feeling nervous or unsure, so this role is simply about helping people feel comfortable, included and welcomed.
Responsibilities
- Welcome members as they arrive
- Chat with new members
- Help introduce people to others
- Support a warm and relaxed atmosphere
- Join occasional events or excursions
No formal experience is needed. A friendly and approachable nature is far more important.
Branch Meetings
- Eastbourne – first and third Tuesday of each month
- Bexhill – first and third Friday of each month
- Hastings – first and third Thursday of each month
