The University of Exeter is recruiting a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to support the work in the Horizon Europe projects QleanUP and UrbaQuantum by designing the architecture of a digital platform to integrate modelling and analytics tools, developing a customisable visualisation dashboard to monitor, control, and operate systems in key water quality processes, and supporting decision making.

The applicant must be familiar with:

  • Linux environment
  • Programming languages such as Python
  • Geographical information system and geospatial analytics tools
  • Existing IoT standards (e.g. FIWARE)
  • Digital Twins applications
  • Human machine interface

These skills are essential to establish orchestration mechanisms that can collect/connect data from multiple sources, process data to enable interoperable applications, and present data to help managers determine the optimum solution in terms of system efficiency and effectiveness.
