Are you aged 9β18 and curious about singing? Good news β weβre recruiting for our free Youth Voices choir. You donβt need to have any previous musical experience, nor do you need to know how to read music. You just need a curiosity to explore your own voice, sing collaboratively as part of a group, and be keen to have fun meeting new people and making new friends.
Youth Voices is directed by expert vocal leaders who help to train and develop your voice, explore different ways of learning and making music, and introduce you to various types of songs and musical styles.
How to take part:
Join us this summer for taster sessions in venues across our local boroughs of Lambeth and Southwark. Young people from all over London are welcome. To join our weekly choir, youβll need to attend at least two taster sessions and commit to attending the final performance in June.
- Session 1: Sat 3 May, 9.30am β 12.30pm β Upper Norwood Library Hub, Lambeth
- Session 2: Sat 10 May, 9.30am β 12.30pm β Southwark Cathedral
- Session 3: Sat 17 May, 9.30am β 12.30pm β Salmon Youth Club, Southwark
- Session 4: Sat 7 June, 9.30am β 12.30pm β Clapham Park Centre, Lambeth
- Session 5: Sat 14 June, 9.30am β 12.30pm β Clapham Park Centre, Lambeth
Final performance: Between 17β18 June 2025 (exact date TBC) at Southbank Centre.
