EDU-SKATE: Free Summer Skateboarding Programme, Surrey Quays

Posted: 2nd July, 2024

This summer, Skate Haven CIC is hosting a free skateboarding programme, “Edu-Skate”, for young people aged 8-16.

Sessions are 2 hours, twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays. There are 10 sessions in total, including a one-week break in August. Young people with little or no prior experience with skateboarding are welcome to enrol. There is limited availability in the programme and we will enrol on a first come first served basis.

The programme is part of a UCL-Goldsmiths research project. Research is being undertaken by Skate Haven CIC co-director, Miguel Nyberg.

Participants who complete the programme are rewarded with their own brand new complete skateboards from Alien Workshop. Successful participants will need sufficient attendance and to complete the research surveys.
