Overview

Help shape services that make a real difference to the lives of unpaid carers.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key coordinating role within Carers Support West Sussex, supporting services that focus on specific caring roles, including mental health, dementia, learning disability, neurodiversity, and drug and alcohol.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate multiple workstreams and support a team of Specialist Leads, ensuring services are high quality, well organized, and responsive to carers’ needs.
  • Provide leadership, structure, and oversight in a fast-paced environment working closely with senior managers.
  • Oversee the delivery of grant-funded projects, ensuring they are effectively planned, coordinated, and delivered to a high standard.
  • Collaborate with carers and partners to translate insights into meaningful, accessible support.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience as a manager who can keep things organized, manage competing priorities, and help others deliver high-quality work.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Experience working with unpaid carers and in service coordination or grant-funded program management is desirable.
  • Appointment subject to an appropriate Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Working arrangement

This is a hybrid role with a mix of working from home and attendance at countywide events and partnerships. It offers the opportunity to be part of a supportive, purpose-driven organisation committed to improving outcomes for unpaid carers.
