Role Description
We are seeking an Interim SAP Payroll SME to provide specialist leadership and operational expertise across a complex, enterprise scale SAP SuccessFactors Payroll environment. This is a pivotal assignment requiring deep subject matter expertise across payroll operations, management information services and SAP SuccessFactors configuration. The role will support the continuity, accuracy and optimisation of payroll services across a large, multi layered workforce population. The successful consultant will operate as a trusted SME to both Technology and HR leadership, ensuring payroll services remain compliant, efficient and aligned to organisational priorities during a period of ongoing system and service evolution.
Scope of Work & Responsibilities
- Provide end to end subject matter expertise across SAP SuccessFactors Payroll operations
- Lead oversight of payroll processing activity ensuring accuracy, governance and compliance
- Support the stabilisation and optimisation of payroll services within a complex enterprise environment
- Deliver management information and payroll reporting to senior stakeholders
- Identify process inefficiencies and implement service improvements across payroll delivery
- Support system configuration reviews, enhancements and issue resolution
- Partner with HR, Finance, Technology and third party providers to ensure seamless payroll operations
- Provide advisory input into payroll transformation initiatives and system roadmap activity
- Ensure regulatory, statutory and audit compliance is maintained across payroll processes
- Support knowledge transfer and capability uplift within internal payroll and HR teams
Candidate Profile
We are looking to engage a proven Payroll SME with demonstrable experience across large scale, complex organisations. Ideal experience will include:
- Deep expertise in SAP SuccessFactors Payroll configuration, processing and governance
- Proven leadership of payroll operations across high volume workforce environments
- Strong understanding of payroll compliance, legislation and audit frameworks
- Experience delivering payroll transformation, service improvement or system optimisation
- Ability to operate both strategically and hands on within delivery environments
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills across HR, Finance and Technology functions
- Experience operating within FTSE listed or similarly complex enterprise organisations is highly desirable
Commercial Details
£500–£700 per day depending on depth of experience
Outside IR35
