Organisation: Community Mind Connect (CMC)
Location: Lancaster, UK (remote possible)

Role Summary
Community Mind Connect is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Marketing Assistant to join our team on a voluntary basis. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to raising awareness of our vital work and engaging with the Lancaster community. Working closely with the Founder, responsible for marketing/communication], the Marketing Assistant will support the development and implementation of CMC’s marketing and communications activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Social Media Management: Assist with the planning, creation, and scheduling of engaging content for CMC’s social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter).
- Content Creation: Support the creation of marketing materials, including website content, blog posts, newsletters, flyers, and promotional graphics (using provided templates or basic design tools).
- Website Updates: Assist with updates to the CMC website content.
- Email Marketing: Support the creation and distribution of email newsletters and marketing campaigns.
- Event Promotion: Assist with the promotion of CMC events and workshops through online and offline channels.
- Market Research: Assist with basic market research to understand audience needs and preferences.
- Brand Awareness: Help to maintain and promote CMC’s brand identity.
- Photography and Videography: Assist with capturing photos and short videos at CMC events and activities (if applicable and with appropriate permissions).
- Media Liaison: Assist with building relationships with local media outlets (if required).
- Monitoring and Reporting: Track the performance of marketing activities and provide basic reports.
Desirable Skills / Experience
- Experience using social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer).
- Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva).
