Licensed Practical Nurse: $30.00 per hour (plus experience) for Day Shift (4:00 am-4:00 pm), $33.00 per hour (plus experience) for Evening/Night Shift and receive an additional $1.60/hour Evening Shift time, $2.00/hour for Night Shift time plus weekend pay.
Registered Nurse: $40.00 per hour (plus experience) for Day Shift (4:00 am-4:00 pm), $43.00 per hour (plus experience) for Evening/Night Shift and receive an additional $1.60/hour Evening Shift time and $2.00/hour for Night Shift time plus weekend pay.
Responsibilities
- REPORTS TO: Director of Nursing
- Job Summary: To ensure that the highest level of resident functioning and care is obtained through development of resident specific care plans
- To assist with resident care as needed to ensure resident’s needs are being met
- Must be able to transfer, turn, or assist resident to or from beds, wheelchairs, mechanical lifts, toilets, tubs, showers, and occasionally the floor (for resident weights up to 250 and infrequently above)
- Reports any changes in resident condition to family and physician
- Works with other nursing staff, providing direct care when needed
- Other duties as assigned
- Promotes a positive image of long-term care
- Serves as a good role model for nursing staff
- Receptive and helpful to nursing staff requesting information and assistance
- Maintains good working relationships with staff, residents, and their families
- Protects privacy of residents and employees
Qualifications
- Must have a current/active LPN or RN license with the State of Iowa
- Must keep up with CEU’s for license renewal
- Must know and understand Universal Precautions
- The charge nurse is also required to have an ability to read, write and speak English, and complete and pass a state required background study form which checks for certain criminal convictions or serious/recurring maltreatment
