Volunteer Trustees
Asha Neighbourhood Project
Location: Hybrid – Remote with occasional meetings in Leeds
Salary: Voluntary (unpaid)
Hours: six board meetings per Year of 1-2 hours each
As a Trustee you’ll help provide strategic leadership, ensure good governance and support the long-term sustainability of the charity. You’ll work alongside a diverse and welcoming group of women on the Board, helping Asha continue to make a lasting difference in the community.
No previous trustee experience is needed; they provide induction and support.
The Project are looking for people with experience in:
- Business or entrepreneurial endeavours
- Finance or accounting
- Fundraising
- Human resources
- Legal services
- Education or health
- Marketing, communications or PR
- Project or programme management
- Strategy and organisational development
- Monitoring, evaluation or data analysis
- Voluntary or community sector experience
- Knowledge of the local community
They particularly welcome applications from women who reflect the diverse communities they serve.
What’s Involved?
- Attend six Board meetings a year (in person and online, with one in-person meeting linked to our AGM)
- Help shape the charity’s strategy and future direction
- Provide guidance and oversight to ensure good governance
- Share your skills and experience to support the organisation
