Community Cohesion Worker
Burmantofts Community Friends
Location: Leeds
Salary: ÂŁ23,188 p.a. (ÂŁ14.82 per hour)
Hours: 30 per week
Contract: 12 months initially with opportunity to extend.
Main purpose of the role
Working under the direction of the CEO, and in partnership with 3rd sector partners, community groups, and residents of LS9, you will run and grow fun and interactive groups and sessions, encouraging and empowering people to attend. Duties will involve meeting and engaging with people in the community, working with local councillors and groups, and contacting them via phone calls and in-person meetings. This may include providing practical support, such as hosting events, running groups, booking venues, and creating plans. The post holder will work closely with our wider team, ensuring we create a positive work environment.

Burmantofts Senior Action (BSA) is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) focused on the needs of older age people living in the area.
