Are you an organised, detail-focused finance professional who enjoys solving problems, working with data, and building strong relationships with customers and colleagues?

At Community Integrated Care, we're looking for an Income Coordinator – Commissioned Funding to join our Finance Centre of Excellence. In this important role, you'll help ensure that the charity receives the income needed to continue delivering exceptional support to thousands of people across England.

Working closely with Local Authorities, Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), operational teams and finance colleagues, you'll play a key role in maintaining cash flow, ensuring accurate billing, resolving payment queries, and continuously improving the way we manage income.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract role to cover maternity and requires someone who can attend our head office in Widnes at least once a week. Our ideal candidate will be based within an hours commute of Widnes.

Every invoice you raise, every payment you reconcile, and every query you resolve helps ensure that Community Integrated Care can continue investing in the people we support and the colleagues who deliver life-changing care every day.

You’ll be joining a collaborative and supportive team where your attention to detail, customer focus, and financial accuracy will make a genuine difference.

What you'll be doing:

  • Produce accurate invoices for Local Authorities, ICBs and personal contributions using our Income Processing System.
  • Ensure admissions, discharges and funding changes are correctly reflected within billing records.
  • Allocate and reconcile high volumes of incoming cash receipts accurately and promptly.
  • Investigate payment discrepancies and liaise directly with Local Authority contacts to resolve issues.
  • Build positive relationships with external customers to ensure efficient and accurate billing processes.
  • Work closely with operational teams and finance colleagues to obtain and validate funding information.
  • Support funding uplifts, contractual changes, new business activity, mergers and acquisitions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and controls across the income function.
  • Help deliver a sector-leading income management service that supports our charity's financial sustainability.

About you:

What we’re looking for: We’re looking for someone who combines financial administration experience with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.

Essential

  • GCSE Maths and English (Grade C / Level 4/5 or equivalent).
  • Experience working within a finance or accounts environment.
  • Experience processing and managing large volumes of data.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Good IT and systems skills.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A collaborative approach and strong team ethic.

Desirable

  • Experience within the health and social care sector.
  • Experience working with invoicing, income processing or accounts receivable activities.
