This role is based at our welcoming Head Office in Widnes, where you’ll join a dedicated and forward‑thinking team helping to redefine the future of social care. As a Virtual Care Centre Operator, you will be the first point of contact for people accessing support through Technology Enabled Care (TEC). This modern approach uses video calls, digital alerts and remote monitoring to empower individuals to live independently, safely, and confidently in their own homes. You’ll be supporting people with a wide range of needs — including learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, long‑term health conditions and age‑related support requirements. Although the support is delivered remotely, the relationships and trust you build are very real.

Your Role Will Involve:

  • Monitoring the TEC platform throughout your shift
  • Responding promptly and professionally to wellbeing alerts
  • Making video or audio calls to check‑in, reassure, or guide someone through a task
  • Providing emotional, practical and safety‑focused support
  • Identifying risks and escalating concerns where required
  • Ensuring each person’s physical, emotional and social needs are supported in line with their personalised plans
  • Keeping clear, accurate digital records
  • Working closely with on‑site teams, families, and partner agencies
  • Empowering people to reach their goals and aspirations

This role requires working 3 waking night shifts each week, on a rolling rota (Shift times are 8pm- 8am) as the TEC service operates 24 hours a day to ensure immediate support is available whenever the people we support need it. If you are caring, observant, calm under pressure and confident using technology, this is an opportunity to support people in a transformative new way. We are looking for someone who leads with kindness, integrity and a genuine desire to help others. Experience is important — but your values are what will help you thrive in this role. You will be someone who is highly self‑aware, eager to learn, and committed to doing the right thing. You’ll bring patience, empathy and compassion to every interaction, understanding that even through a screen, your support can bring comfort and confidence to someone’s day (or night). You will naturally work well with people — developing positive relationships, collaborating with colleagues, and contributing to a supportive, team‑centred environment.

You Will Role‑model Our Values:

  • We Include
  • We Deliver
  • We Aspire
  • We Respect
  • We Enable

You’ll be confident in taking responsibility, learning from mistakes, speaking up when something isn’t right, and always looking for ways to improve services. Most importantly, you will bring a passion for enabling people to live the life they choose, in the way that suits them best.

You Will Also Bring:

  • Experience in health or social care
  • Understanding of person‑centred support
  • Ability to work across multiple sites/services
  • Experience with varied client groups
  • SVQ Level 3 (Scotland) or Level 3 Diploma in Care (England)
  • Willingness and ability to work waking nights

At Community Integrated Care, we celebrate individuality. Through our A Place I Belong commitment, we ensure every colleague feels welcomed, valued and able to bring their true self to work. This publicly sets out the promises we’ve made to achieving this vision and how we will hold ourselves to account to getting there.
