We are looking for a Female Support Worker for our Supported Living Service in Southport, PR8 to support a new resident. The resident is a 46‑year‑old lady with a learning disability, autism and mental health challenges. She requires support with personal care, medication administration, cooking, cleaning, paying bills and organising her days. The role is fully supported by our training and care approach, with a focus on building a trusting relationship and providing emotional support within a person‑centred care framework.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and medication administration.
  • Assist with cooking, cleaning, bill payments and daily activity planning.
  • Support behaviour management using a PBS approach.
  • Offer emotional support and build a trusting relationship with the resident.
  • Observe and respond to sensory needs and environmental cues to keep the resident comfortable.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Female candidate.
  • Friendly, approachable, trustworthy and adaptable.
  • Willing to work flexible shifts, including waking nights (8 pm–8 am, 12‑hour shifts), weekends and holiday periods.
  • Experience or ability to support residents with learning disability, autism and mental health challenges.
  • Basic training or experience in medication administration and personal care.
  • Experience or training in a PBS (Positive Behaviour Support) approach is preferred.

Shift & Pay

Waking night shift 8 pm–8 am. Pay is £13.12 per hour. The position is 36 hours per week.
