Our Supported Living Service in Hemsworth, WF9 is seeking 2 x Female Support Workers to provide support to our residents. This role is a Genuine Occupational Requirement in accordance with the Equality Act 2010. Mix of Days and Nights. Applicants with Full UK Driving Licence would be preferred.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Community Integrated Care at our supported living service in Hemsworth. What is important to us? We need empathic, patient staff to provide person-centered support to individuals who are living here. We want everyone who accesses our services to have the opportunity to live the best life possible. You will be supporting people to work towards outcomes, enabling them to maintain independence. You will encourage and support people to engage in the local community, clubs, cinema, shows, days out, gym, pub lunches shopping, and activities of personal choice, including swimming, family activities and day trips. You will support a community within Wakefield itself, across several services where there are long-standing friendships, and you will support to maintain these relationships.

Carlton Close is a supported living project for 3 individuals with learning disabilities, 24 hours a day. The property is a bungalow set in a quiet cul de sac. It has a large communal open plan dining space, it is wheelchair accessible throughout, a beautiful conservatory and ensuites for all the bedrooms. The property is in the market town of Hemsworth, there are regular buses linking the town with Barnsley, Wakefield and Doncaster. We live within a short walking distance from a playing field, the local amenities and busy marketplace which contains shops and a range of cafes, a library and a local farm shop.
