Who you\’ll be supporting & more about the role:
Are you a positive and motivated person who is interested in supporting vulnerable adults to live the best lives possible? Are you looking to gain great experience in a satisfying job where you feel supported? If this sounds like you, maybe a Support Worker role with an award-winning charity is the change you\’ve been looking for! At St. James\’s Court in Inverurie, we support individuals with a wide range of needs to live as independently as possible in their own flats.
The individuals you\’ll be supporting range in age from 22 to 60 and enjoy lots of great activities, so we\’re looking for people to join the team who are interested in trying new things and supporting people to achieve their own personal goals. In this role, you\’ll have the opportunity to support people with walking football, walking rugby, bowling, going to discos, enjoying live music, visiting the local pub and anything they enjoy. The people we support have a large shared garden and love to spend time there socialising, growing vegetables, partying and making use of the garden\’s (mostly non-alcoholic) bar! Our staff team are very supportive and experienced and also provide some support with: • Medication administration • Cooking and home maintenance • Social support and support to achieve personal goals • Managing the finances of the people we support
Our team provide support 7 days a week, so we ask for flexibility to work a variety of shifts from Monday-Sunday and this will include some sleepover shifts. Our shift patterns can vary, but some examples of typical shifts are listed below: We are Currently recruiting for a 22 Hour Waking night position
