Role and Location

Are you seeking Bank/Casual work that offers variety and is rewarding? Do you enjoy working with people and want to make a real difference? This could be the ideal career opportunity for you! We currently have opportunities within our Bank team for caring, enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals to join our team in St Georges Cross, Glasgow.

We are currently recruiting for Male Support Workers for a variety of shifts from Monday – Sunday

  • Due to the nature of the activities a UK Manual Driving Licence is preferred

At this service we support 4 gentlemen to live independently in their own and work with a tailored care and support plan to meet their individual needs. They are based in St Georges Cross area in a 4 bedroom bungalow with open communal and shared spaces, with a large garden and plenty of parking nearby. It is 5 minutes from the subway and Partick Thistle Stadium.

There are usually 4 team members at the service at a time. One person we support has epilepsy but all relevant training will be provided so previous experience is beneficial but not essential.

The people we support here love to go out to the community and shops. They love to go out for runs in the car and to use public transport including buses and trains in the area. They are keen to be supported to access new and local opportunities so someone who is great at identifying these things would be perfect. Also some of the people we support love football, Celtic and memorabilia.

Shift patterns are between 7.30am-9.30pm. A awakened night shift is 9.30pm-7.30am (occasional cover only). Sometimes the people we support really need a male or female person to support them. For this particular role, a male colleague is required. This is a genuine occupational requirement as defined by the Equality Act 2010.

It’s important that you can communicate well within our team to ensure routines are maintained.
