Overview
We are recruiting a flexible Bank/Casual Support Worker to join our team in Dollar, Clackmannanshire. The people we support live in their own flats in a shared building and require friendly, caring and supportive people to help them build confidence and improve their independent living skills. The role involves supporting individuals with learning disabilities, mental health needs and past trauma, and helping them pursue goals such as attending college and finding a job. We provide training, support and personal protective equipment, and opportunities for development.
Responsibilities
- Support the people we care for with daily living activities and independent living skills.
- Assist with medication administration, cooking, and maintaining homes and finances as part of promoting independence.
- Support social situations and respond to situations in a trauma-informed way.
- Engage individuals in a range of activities (e.g., socialising, going to the movies, shopping, games, walks, and community outings) and help them try new activities and achieve personal goals.
- Work within shift patterns including day, back, waking nights and sleepovers, with some weekend work included.
Qualifications and Qualities
