Position Overview
We are currently recruiting experienced Support Workers to support six individuals who live in purpose‑built bungalows in Tullibody. The people we support have learning disabilities, Autism, mental health issues and hearing/visual impairments, and many are living in their own homes for the first time. Your role will be to provide companionship, assist with personal care, manage medication, prepare meals, help maintain the homes and finances, and encourage them in activities they enjoy.
Responsibilities
- Provide 36 hours of support per week, including some weekend work and occasional night shifts (either 8 am–8 pm or overnight 8 pm–8 am).
- Support the individuals’ daily living activities, personal care and medication management.
- Assist with cooking and maintaining the household and finances.
- Encourage participation in recreational activities such as gardening, sports, cooking and baking.
- Ensure a safe and respectful environment for the people we support.
- Use personal protective equipment as required.
Qualifications
- Experienced Carer or Support Worker.
- Ability to work with people with learning disabilities, Autism, mental health issues and sensory impairments.
- Reliability, honesty and a commitment to building trust and positive relationships.
- Good communication skills and a willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overnight shifts.
- Current or potential UK driving licence (not mandatory, but a bonus).
- Knowledge of the living wage and willingness to work on parity with the role’s pay rate of £13.86 per hour (effective 1 April 2026).
