We will provide you with all the training, support and personal protective equipment you need in your role and will help you develop, should you decide you want to develop your career with us.

You will be supporting 4 individuals with varying learning disabilities, autism, Ogilvie syndrome, diabetes and mental health. Staff will be trained in administration of medication, manual handling and positive behavioural support. They are 4 very different individuals but are compatible to live together.

They live in a semi-detached house in a quiet and lovely neighbourhood. They are a short walk and drive from the pub, park, shops and various other retail and amenities. They enjoy a variety of activities including cooking, drawing, watching TV, arts and crafts, going to the pub and shopping.

They have 1 staff on at a time, they mostly spend their day in the Service from Monday to Friday. Shift pattern is anything from 8am to 8pm then a night shift starting at 8pm to 8am the following day.

We are looking for a full time support worker for 36 hours.

What essential skills and experience is needed for the role?

We know it takes a special person to work in social care and we recognise that not everyone that would be perfect for the role will have professional experience. This is why we're really passionate about recruiting to individuals’ values and we recruit people from all walks of life; from people with vast experience in a support worker or care assistant role, from people with lived experiences who may have friends or relatives with disabilities or have looked after older relatives, to people with no experience at all.
