Working closely with the Service Leader and the Support Worker team, you will be responsible for three ladies and two gents who currently live in the five apartments at this service, all of working age.
Our Support Needs & Challenges
All the people supported here hold a diagnosis of a Learning Disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder or Physical Disability. Some may display behaviours that are described as challenging to services. All staff have received mandatory training to meet the needs of the people who live at the service, including positive behaviour support, PICA, moving and positioning training.
Shift Information
Shifts include long day shifts (7 am–10 pm), Flexi shifts (aligned with individual needs), sleep‑in duty and waking night duty. You must be able to work long‑day sleep‑in shifts. Shift requirement: flexible. Contract: bank. UK driving licence required: no.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll support five individuals to live their daily life the way they want to. This involves:
- Supporting with personal care
- Medication administration
- Home management – cooking, cleaning, shopping and budget management
- Daily activities – anything and everything the person wants to do, so be ready and willing to try new things
