We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Manager to lead our newly opened complex care service in Hilsea, Portsmouth.
This specialist service is a modern, purpose-designed 7-bedroom home with spacious communal areas and a large garden. We currently support 3 young adults aged 20-23 with complex needs including autism, learning disabilities, epilepsy, sensory communication, and mental health challenges. The people we support are active, sociable, and pursue personal goals such as education, employment, and hobbies.
As the Service Leader Level 3, you will lead a high-performing team and drive service excellence within a person-centred, inclusive culture.
Responsibilities
- Lead a skilled team including a Deputy Manager and experienced Support Workers
- Drive service performance and ensure compliance with CQC standards
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and person-centred culture
- Implement and oversee Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies
- Ensure all staff are trained and confident in PBS, Makaton, trauma-informed care, and active support
- Support individuals with behaviours of concern using evidence-based approaches
- Foster independence, dignity, and meaningful community engagement
This role requires a strong understanding of complex care and PBS frameworks. You will ensure that support plans, particularly PBS plans, are followed and reviewed to maintain safety, quality of life, and positive outcomes.
We Are Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- A PBS qualification and a Level 3 or above in Health and Social Care
- Proven experience in managing complex services and supporting people with behaviours of concern
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and team development skills
- A person-centred approach and commitment to continuous improvement
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- Resilience, professionalism, and a passion for empowering others
