We will provide you with all the training, support and personal protective equipment you need in your role, and will help you develop, should you decide you want to pursue your career further., This is an exciting opportunity to lead two teams of experienced and passionate support workers, over two services, to deliver 24hour assistance to the wonderful people that live there. The people we support are an amazing and independent group of wonderful and different people, who live in their own self contained apartments within two smalls blocks. One service is in Polegate and the other is in Hailsham. They have communal open plan lounge and kitchen areas, where the people we support often sit and chat, watch TV together, or cook and eat together.

The people we support love to spend time together, and often go out for meals, trips to the seaside or anywhere else they choose! They have life goals too, just like everyone else! Some are studying, others are looking for or already working in part time jobs, others just love to spend their time with their favourite support worker!

There won’t be time to rest on your laurels – this role is going to be full on, and is going to need a highly skilled and patient Manager. The people we support need emotional support and are capable of verbally and physically challenging behaviours. You will need to be cool, calm and resilient too! You will also have experience working with people supported who present behaviours that require intensive support planning and management to ensure their safety and quality of life at all times.

In addition you will be comfortable using basic IT systems that are required within the role – training can be offered to support this area. You will also either hold a professional qualification in Health and Social Care, i.e. Nurse, Social Worker, SVQ Level 3 plus supervisory units (Scotland) / Care Management Level 3 (England) or have experience working in a managerial health and social care role.

The established team of support workers are very knowledgeable, through their own experiences, and through the comprehensive training and induction provided by us. They are very friendly too, The focus is on fun, choice and inclusivity!
