Working closely with the Service Leader and Support Worker Team, you will be responsible for supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health concerns to live their daily lives. Each person we support is unique, so the support you provide will be person‑centred and will focus on achieving the best lives possible with them.
Our Shifts
We provide support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so this role will include some weekend and overnight work (sleepovers). Our day shifts run between 7am - 10pm.
Driving License Required? Not essential but it would be beneficial.
What You Will Be Doing
We are currently expanding our team in Peterhead and are recruiting for a 37.5‑hour Support Worker role. In this service, we support a group of adults to live independently in their own homes around Peterhead Town Centre. The individuals we support have learning disabilities, autism and Downs Syndrome, so they require support to live their everyday lives.
The people we support enjoy group events and a wide variety of activities, including going to the cinema, getting their nails done, watching football, attending car shows, arts and crafts, watching Disney movies and concerts. In addition to supporting them with these activities, our staff team provides assistance with daily tasks such as medication administration, cooking and cleaning, helping them achieve their goals and managing finances.
Having a UK driving licence is beneficial, and for this particular role a female colleague is required – a genuine occupational requirement as defined by the Equality Act 2010.
