If so, we would love to hear from you! We are currently expanding our team in Peterhead and are recruiting for a 37.5-hour Support Worker role. In this service, we support a group of adults to live independently in their own homes around Peterhead Town Centre. The individuals we support have learning disabilities, autism and Downs Syndrome, so require some support to live their everyday lives. The people we support love group events so our team supports them to organise and host these events. They enjoy a wide variety of activities, including going to the cinema, getting their nails done, watching football, going to car shows, arts and crafts, watching Disney movies and going to concerts.
In addition to supporting with the activities they enjoy, our staff team provide support with daily tasks such as:
- Medication administration
- Cooking and cleaning
- Helping the people we support achieve their goals
- Assisting the people we support to manage their finances
If you have a UK driving license, that would be beneficial but is not essential. In this service, we provide support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so this role will include some weekend work. Our waking night shifts run between 10pm to am. One of the values of Community Integrated Care is our passion for our people and every year we invest in our front-line worker pay in line with the Living Wage increase each April. Our promise has always been clear: we will do everything in our power to improve pay for colleagues. Sometimes the people we support really need a male or female person to support them. For this particular role, a Female colleague is required. This is a genuine occupational requirement as defined by the Equality Act.
