Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:
Support Workers – Part-time (21 hours per week)
Location: Maryport
Join a well‑established, people‑focused service supporting four individuals who range in age from 50s – 70s
If you’re caring, compassionate, and genuinely motivated to make a difference, this is an exciting opportunity to bring your talents to a service where your contribution truly matters. We’re looking for Support Workers who can offer high‑quality, person‑centred support to four individuals with learning disabilities.
Our aim is to promote each person’s choices, wellbeing, and independence. You’ll be part of a supportive team that works collaboratively, respectfully, and creatively to help people live fulfilling lives on their own terms.
What the people we support enjoy
This is a lively and varied service where no two days are the same. The individuals you’ll support enjoy:
- Spending time in their garden
- Getting out and about
- Visiting coffee shops and places of interest
The people we support value a team that is fun‑loving, kind, considerate and respectful of personal space.
What the role involves
You’ll provide day‑to‑day support tailored to each person’s needs, helping them build confidence, develop skills, and enjoy meaningful experiences. Your approach will be person‑centred, patient, and grounded in dignity and respect.
Shift Patterns
This is a part‑time day shift role, and colleagues must be flexible with the days and times they can work. The service operates with the following shift patterns:
- 8am – 3.30pm
- 2.30pm – 10pm
- 10pm – 8am (waking nights)
Please note: We are not currently recruiting for waking night shifts, but there may be occasional waking night cover required for annual leave or sickness.
What we’re looking for
We’re seeking colleagues who are:

- Candidates should hold a UK driving license and have access to a vehicle (the home is rural and not well-served by public transport)
