Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:
Life at Hale Lane is peaceful but active and enjoyable, with people supported encouraged to spend time doing the things that matter most to them. This includes arts and crafts, visiting family and friends, swimming, shopping trips, cinema outings, relaxing walks in the local area, going to the pub, disco and watching movies. Shared routines are an important part of life at the service, such as a day out to the pub, where all the people supported have a pub meal. Saturday Takeaway is another enjoyable day, as the people we support choose and share a takeaway and relax at home, normally with a pamper session included for the ladies. Hale Lane would be ideal for someone who likes to socialise and explore the local area. Ideally the person supported would like to join in on some of our activities, like going for a meal out together, or enjoy our takeaways on Saturday, but we believe in choices and person-centred care, so we always adapt to the needs of people we support. Our dedicated team of 7 Support Workers empower the people we support to live their best lives possible. Currently we support 4 people with learning disabilities to live their lives to the fullest. Our team supports and assists with personal care, to manage their medication and finances, carry out daily living tasks, maintain relationships with friends and family, access their local community, and engage in person-centered activities. We actively promote choice, independence, and individual preferences in all aspects of support. We are looking for 2 Full Time Support Workers for 40 hours. Driver is essential for this role.
