Our Supported Living Service for adults with Learning Disabilities in Oakwood, Leeds, LS8 is seeking 2 Female Bank Support Workers.
We are ideally looking for candidates with weekend availability who hold full UK Driving Licence

Who will you be supporting and what is important to me?

My name is Brenda, and I am looking to recruit 2 Bank members of staff (for Days and Nights) who are drivers and will be willing to take me out in the community daily. I look forward to going out to different places and trying new things. I use a manual wheelchair, and I have my own vehicle. Being able to access the community daily will improve my overall health and wellbeing, allowing me to live my best life. I share my house with three other ladies who are my friends.

  • Staff assist us to access the wider community, community facilities and activities that are person centred.

  • There are three wheelchair users including myself and one that is mobile.
What activities do we to do? What are our interests?

  • Arts and Crafts – making rings and bracelets.
  • Going out on day trips with competent staff
  • Going to the hairdressers to get our hair done.
  • Getting our nails done professionally
What type of house is it?

Montague Drive is an all-female service located in the Oakwood area of Leeds, which is near to Roundhay Park. It consists of 4 bedrooms and communal areas. The property also benefits from a large garden surrounding the property which is accessible to all the residents.

What do we need from you?

  • I need you to be flexible, reliable, and non-judgemental.
  • It Is important that you respect my privacy, my choice whilst promoting the company’s core values.
  • Be passionate about your job.
  • Have an open mind and bring suggestions.
  • Assist me to access activities, so I can have new adventures and have a chance to learn and have new experiences.
  • Have a laugh with me! I like staff with a sense of humour.
  • Be positive and committed to what you do.
Shifts: 3 staff on an early shift, 3 staff on a late shift, 2 waking night
