We’re Community Integrated Care – one of the UK’s biggest social care charities. We’re all about dignity, choice, and living your best life. Join us and help make “Your Life, Your Choice” a reality for thousands.
Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:
Do you love music — all kinds of it? Are you a football fan (especially Man United)? Do you enjoy karaoke, dancing, and going to gigs? Fancy a movie night with a takeaway and a cold beer? Like swimming, long walks, or hitting the gym? If you’re smiling right now, we might just be a great match — and you could be the perfect person to join my team!
I live with bipolar disorder and learning disabilities, so I’m looking for kind, calm and dependable people who can support me through the tough days and enjoy the good ones with me too. You’ll need to be emotionally resilient, patient and confident using good judgement in day-to-day situations. Strong life skills really matter in this role — things like being organised, practical, reassuring, and able to offer steady support when life feels challenging. If you’ve got experience in mental health, learning disabilities or trauma-informed care, that’s a big plus.
Here’s the kind of support I’d value from someone with good life skills, patience and a positive approach:
- Everyday support with cooking, cleaning, shopping, planning routines and getting to appointments
- Encouragement with managing money and making practical day-to-day decisions
- A calm, reassuring presence at night — someone who can listen, build trust, and help me feel safe and comfortable
And here’s what I’m into:
- Electric music — I love all sorts, from pop to rock to RnB
- Long walks in nature
- Karaoke and dancing
- My Christian faith — it means a lot to me, so I’d love someone who can support me with that too
We’re hiring for a Support Worker for relief/bank hours (shifts are 8am - 8pm and sleepovers are also required). You’ll need to be flexible with your schedule — we work across all days of the week, Monday to Sunday and shifts are split to ensure fairness for all staff.
So… if you’re warm, grounded, resilient and able to bring common sense, patience and positivity to your support, I’d love to meet you!
