We are looking for an experienced support worker with a background in autism and behaviour support to help a young gentleman in Inverness. You will support his daily routines, manage challenging behaviours, and help him achieve a better quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Support the young gentleman with routines, structure and consistency to promote safety and regulation.
- Use Positive Behavioural Support strategies to manage challenging behaviours.
- Build trusting relationships and provide supportive, consistent care.
- Engage in reflective practice to maintain high quality support.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team and share best practice.
- Participate in transition training in Grimsby before relocation in March 2026.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Level 3 in Social Care or equivalent.
- Experience in mental health, autism (and/or obsessive‑compulsive disorders) and/or forensic background.
- Working knowledge of positive behavioural support.
- UK driving licence (required).
- Ability to work flexible hours and shift patterns.
- Good communication skills and a calm, positive approach.
- Willingness to undertake DBS/PVG checks.
