At Community Integrated Care, we’re on a mission to deliver the Best Life Possible—and we believe that starts with exceptional learning. We’re looking for a strategic, innovative, and people-focused Head of Learning and Development to lead our national L&D function and shape the future of workforce development.
This is a full-time, permanent post and you will be ideally based within commuting distance from our head office in Widnes with the need for national travel.

You’ll lead the design and delivery of our L&D strategy for our 6,500 colleagues through a team of over 50 L&D professionals and a budget of more than £2m. This is more than a leadership role—it’s an opportunity to transform how learning empowers people while embracing innovation, digital transformation, and sector-leading practices to achieve our organisational goals.

- C ollaborate across the charities leadership teams to ensure our learning delivers the very best outcomes for the people we support D
- eliver the L&D 2 year plan ensuring completion of our sector-leading capability framework (GROW), with impactful learner journeys and competency assessments; D
- rive leadership development, talent growth, and performance across apprenticeships, qualifications, coaching, and more L
- ead the commercialisation of L&D offerings to generate income and amplify impact both within the charity and across the sector B
- uild external partnerships and influence sector standards O
- versee accreditation, compliance, and continuous improvement D
- rive quality, efficiency and productivity of the training provision to ensure we have a best in sector offering, driving exceptional utilisation and return on investment I
- nspire and lead a high-performing team to deliver exceptional service across the UK
