Overview
ARC HD Services Ltd is part of Community Integrated Care and is a specialist care provider that delivers residential care and 1:1 support for young people aged 9-18 who face significant social, emotional, and mental health difficulties. These include conditions such as ASD, ADHD, PTSD, eating disorders, and trauma-related behavioural challenges. They operate three children\’s homes, each designed to support up to three young people. The homes are warm, welcoming, and homely, with a strong emphasis on individualised, child-centred care. Each young person has their own bedroom, bathroom, and lounge, alongside communal areas for meals and social interaction. We are looking to recruit a Support Worker to join our team at Woodside on a full time permanent contract supporting the next generation to live the best life possible.
Responsibilities
- Work 1:1 with a young person during each shift.
- Support shifts range from 9 to 15 hours, with flexible breakdowns based on the young person’s needs.
- Sleep-in duties are part of the role.
- Receive specialist training in attachment theories, trauma-informed practice, and other relevant areas.
- Spend your shift with the person you support, making the biggest impact on their lives.

We specialise in helping children and adolescents facing mental health challenges including ASD, ADHD, PTSD, eating disorders, emotional and behavioural difficulties, and significant childhood trauma.

Requirements / Qualifications
- Previous experience is desirable but not essential as you will be trained and supported.
- Passionate about working with young people to encourage participation in education, provide social and independence learning opportunities, and emotional support.
- Ability to work in a team and build trusting relationships with children and colleagues.
- Willingness to engage in flexible shift patterns and undertake sleeping-in duties as required.
- Full driving licence (for a manual car) is preferred for some roles.
- Enhanced DBS check (or update) required.
